Holiday Inn Thessaloniki “Torchbearer Award 2009” - 08/05/2009
The “Torchbearer Award 2009”, the Intercontinental Hotels Group’s greatest distinction, has been awarded to Holiday Inn Thessaloniki and to other 23 hotels, among 686 hotels that are owned or controlled by the international group in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
This particular award recognises hotels that go the extra mile to achieve outstanding levels of service, measured by Intercontinental Hotels Group Overall Satisfaction Index which is compiled using guest feedback and overall standards compliance. In specific, the Guest Satisfaction Tracking System is compiled using data gained from surveys by randomly selected guests during their stay. Guests are asked to rate the hotel on different criteria, such as services, cleanliness, employees and facilities. The score that it comes out in combination with the qualitative controls materialized on annual basis, is used for each hotel’s evaluation. The “Torchbearer” awarded hotels, have achieved to be in the top 3% of the highest scorers at Overall Satisfaction Index. Holiday Inn Thessaloniki with the succeeded high score, gained the top prize for a third time, regarding the annual “EMEA Hotel Stars Awards” conferment, materialized by the greatest hotel chain worldwide “Intercontinental Hotels Group”.
